CO2 Powered lamps

French biochemist Pierre Calleja has invented an innovative algae lamp, and it's claimed to absorb 200-times more CO2 than trees, at the rate of 1-ton annually, or what a tree absorbs over its entire lifetime.

Pierre has basically developed a lighting system that requires no electricity for power. Instead, it draws carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and uses it to produce light as well as oxygen as a byproduct. The key ingredient? Algae. There are certain types of algae that can feed off of organic carbon as well as sunlight, and in the process produce carbohydrate energy for themselves as well as oxygen as a waste product.

Amazing Icy Lake

Crystal-Clear Lake Baikal, in Russia, is a vast body of the bluest water, surrounded by rocky or tree-covered foreshores behind which mountains float like phantoms at indeterminable distances. Baikal's meteorological mood swings are transfixing spectacles, whole weather systems dancing for your delectation over Siberia's 'climatic kitchen'.

In the winter, for about five months or from January to May, the (Lake Baikal Russia) freezes over but the water is so clear that, from the surface, you can see an astounding 130 feet below you.

iOS 7 just an Upgrade nothing more

iOS 7 is just a considerable upgrade to iOS6. Nothing more than that, hence will be again an disaster for Apple.
Let’s start with the much touted design changes. The design changes feel nice to the eye, mainly because most of us were just so bored with the previous OS versions. The bright color palettes are pleasing to the eye and should appeal to a large number of people although serious businessmen might feel bitter.
Also the new icons (especially the App Store and iTunes Store icons) look copied from Nokia Belle OS. Not only this, the Control Center is strangely similar to something we’ve found in Android almost as long as we can remember. Also in other places, several design cues seem to be borrowed from Windows Phone and again Android. The new icons may be pleasing to the eye but not each and every one is good-looking. Also some are too complicated, while others are plain dull.
Almost all the features brought to iOS 7 were either missing features, or improvements brought to already existing ones. Just take a look, for example, to the iOS 7homepage on Apple’s website. Almost none of it is new. Control center, Notification center, Siri, Safari, Camera filters & UI changes, better multitasking, updated photo gallery, iTunes Radio and Air Drop are all but old features. This will be gravely disappointing especially for iPhone fans who have to wait one whole year just to get new features. Also it is disappointing because Android is quickly sprinting away and Windows Phone closing up on iOS.

US Govt. Spying private data thorogh Gmail, Facebook and other internet giants

Sometime ago we had thought that our data on social networking sites and other private data stored on mails and clouds is being watched by US.

The thought was real, as a new secret document has proven the existence of a US government program that grants NSA (National Security Agency) and FBI direct access to the servers of Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Skype, Yahoo, Apple and other internet companies, from where they can extract any user information at their will.

This program is named as PRISM, which was sanctioned by President Bush in 2007, which is now renewed again by President Obama in December 2012.

Under this program, tech giants gave direct access to its servers to US government agencies, through which they can view any information they want, without any difficulty.

The information that NSA can access may include your emails, chats, search history, images, videos, skype calls (even the content of skype calls), YouTube videos (even those which are private), files that are stored in your computer, as well as call records of smartphones, SMS, MMS, places you visit and much more.

Water Proof S4 Variant: Samsung unveils Galaxy S4 Active

Samsung's Galaxy S4 line gets another family member in the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, a hardened, ruggedized spin off of the company's flagship model.
Waterproof to a meter below the surface and for up to 30 minutes, the Active carries on computing with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, Samsung's Touch Wiz interface, and a 1.9GHz quad-core processor, the same as its more delicate Galaxy S4 sibling.
Many of its other specs are also similar, but one that stands out is the camera, whose 8-megapixel module can take this bad boy under the waves with its brand-new aqua mode.
A lot of other rugged handsets that make the same waterproof claims stop short of turning the capability into a real benefit.

§  1.9GHz quad-core processor
§  2GB RAM

§  2600mAh battery

This device will be presented in three different color options, including Urban Grey, Dive Blue and Orange Flare. However, price tag has been keeping wrapped.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom (4th Variant of Galaxy S4)

The list of phones in the Galaxy S4 range is mind-boggling in itself. Following from the original international Galaxy S4 and the quad-core SnapDragon versions, we got the S4 mini and then the water-proof S Active and now, for the cameraphone fans, the S4 Zoom with a 16-megapixel sensor, a 10x optical zoom, and a Xenon flash.
The Galaxy S4 Zoom is Samsung’s first camera phone. The Galaxy S4 Zoom is expected to have a 4.3” qHD AMOLED display and a 16 megapixel camera sensor with optical zoom. (Same as the Galaxy Camera) According to Hi-Tech.ru the Galaxy S4 Zoom will have an optical zoom of10 times! This is a lot better than the Nokia 808 PureView with only an optical zoom of 3 times. Samsung downgraded the optical zoom function of the Galaxy S4 Zoom because of the thickness of the device itself. The phone itself looks like the Galaxy S4 mini.
Samsung just received their bluetooth certification on the Galaxy S4 Zoom too.
Samsung officially announced the Galaxy S4 Zoom. A Galaxy S4 mini with a huge camera module. The Galaxy S4 Zoom features a 4.3” qHD sAMOLED display a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 16 megapixel camera sensor with 10 times optical zoom, 8 GB intern with extern micro SD up to 64 GB, 1.5 GB of RAM, Bluetooth 4.0 LE Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, and A-GPS. You are able to call with the Galaxy S4 Zoom, Samsung added a shutter button to the device and the volume rockers or zoom buttons are on the right side. The Galaxy S4 Zoom runs on Samsung’s own Touch-Wiz Nature UX interface with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean on it.
The Galaxy S4 Zoom will be Samsung’s last product of the Galaxy S4 range. Samsung already has the Galaxy S4, Galaxy S4 Active and Galaxy S4 mini. As you might notice the Galaxy S4 Zoom looks a lot like the Galaxy S4 mini.
The Galaxy S4 Zoom is Samsung’s first camera phone based on Android.
